Hi, I’m Kristie  the creator of Get Ready, Set, Report and a court reporter with over 24 years of experience in hearings, courtrooms, and freelance depositions.

My journey into this profession wasn’t easy. It took me six and a half years to pass my state test, and during that time, I experienced what so many reporters go through feeling stuck, frustrated, and wondering if I was ever going to make it. I know what it feels like to watch others pass while you’re still trying to find your footing… and I also know what it takes to keep going.

When I first started working, I was doing everything myself taking depositions, then staying up until three or four in the morning to transcribe them. I was exhausted, trying to balance work and family life, and living on a schedule that felt completely controlled by attorneys. There wasn’t much flexibility, and there definitely wasn’t much time for me.

But over time, that changed.

Through years of experience, trial and error, and a lot of determination, I created a system that completely transformed the way I work. I built a business that allows me to earn a strong, consistent income while also having the freedom to enjoy my life my family, my travels, and the things that matter most to me.

I created Get Ready, Set, Report because I don’t want other reporters to spend years figuring this out the hard way like I did.

My goal is to help you build a career that actually supports your life. One where you have structure, confidence, and systems in place… and where you own your schedule, your income, and your future.
