Need your court reporting sit-out hours? Start here.
Court reporting students are required to spend time sitting out with working reporters before entering the profession. Reporter Connect makes it easier to find reporters who have volunteered to let students sit in on their assignments and work toward completing their required 20 hours.
These reporters were students once too. As you complete your required hours, theyā€™re happy to answer questions, share their experiences, and give you a closer look at what working in the field is really like.

Email the reporter, introduce yourself as a court reporting student, and ask whether they have an upcoming assignment you may be able to observe.
